While many college graduates focus on sending out countless resumes to companies in hopes of landing new career opportunities, Mark Nordlicht took a different approach. He took the bull by the horns and created his own entrepreneurial opportunity.
After graduating from Yeshiva University, Mark Nordlicht decided that working for someone else wasn’t a viable option. He decided to launch Northern Lights Trading, a proprietary options firm in New York. Northern Lights employed traders in the cotton, coffee, natural gas and crude oil, gold and silver option trading pits. Mr. Nordlicht assumed the role of general partner from 1991-2000.
Mark Nordlicht didn’t stop at pursuing his entrepreneurial dreams at Northern Lights Trading. He embarked upon a new business venture known as West End Capital. Nordlicht played a chief role as managing partner at the New York-based money management firm from 1997-2001. Today, Mark Nordlicht brings his financial expertise to Platinum Partners Hedge Fund, which he established in 2003.
As Chief Investment Officer of Platinum Partners Hedge Fund, Nordlicht is responsible for oversight of all trading, asset allocation and risk management of the fund. The Platinum Partners Hedge Fund is a multi-strategy hedge fund delivering exceptional risk adjusted returns undefiled to any broader market activity.
Mark Nordlicht – Giving Back to the Community

Additionally, Mr. Nordlicht founded the Dahlia and Mark Nordlicht Foundation. This organization provides educational opportunities for impoverished children. Mark Nordlicht’s charitable giving has helped in reducing poverty, disease, genocide and hunger on a global scale.
